Please join IIDA Kansas City for a tour of the newly completed 106,000sf Headquarters of Dairy Farmers of America, designed by HOK. This LEED Silver facility will be the new home for 420 employees and features a modern, flexible work environment with expansive open floor plates, a variety of conference and collaborative spaces, employee café, fitness facilities and outdoor spaces. Both interior details and integration of furniture have aimed to pay tribute to the cooperative’s farmer-owners through the use of reclaimed wood and dairy-inspired materials, forms and lighting.
Owned by more than 15,000 dairy farmers across the country, and invested in brands such as Borden Cheese, Kemps, Keller’s Creamery and Hiland Dairy, DFA is the nation’s largest milk marketing cooperative. An exporter of dairy products and powders to nearly 50 countries, DFA is also the sixth-largest global dairy company. The new Headquarters was designed by HOK’s Kansas City office, constructed by JE Dunn, and furnished by encompas.
